Platform Cluster Manager

Built for maximum uptime

Platform Cluster Manager

Platform Cluster Manager represents a “re-think” of the original Platform Open Cluster Stack and how open clusters are deployed and managed.

New features and improvements include:
    • Easy to use web interface and best practices “built-in”
    • Easy-to-use features and advanced management capabilities that both administrators and cluster users will appreciate
    • Installing and configuring complex HPC software is reduced to simply installing software “Kits” through an intuitive web interface
    • Software installation and configuration is completely automated, and components become ready for use on your choice of cluster nodes with the click of a mouse
    • Change node personalities at any time, and install patches or software updates without needing to disrupt users and re-provision cluster nodes
    • Using repository snapshots – administrators can capture configurations known to be good at any time, and easily revert to a prior snapshot in the event of a problem
    • The ability to maintain multiple repositories that contain multiple operating systems and layered software components makes Platform Cluster Manager unique
    • Support for SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) v10.2
    • Support for the NVIDIA®  CUDA™ Parallel Computing environment allowing HPC users to easily exploit the power of NVIDIA  GPUs
    • New Intel® Cluster Ready (ICR) facilitator included in the Kusu base kit that eases the process of certifying specific cluster configurations
    • Enhanced Platform MPI support
